It all began when our co-founders, Filip Åkerblom, Stefan Forsberg, and Daniel Jönsson, each brought their unique passions together to create something Malmö had never seen before – Sweden’s first vermuteria. Inspired by the vibrant vermuterias of southern Europe, they envisioned a space where you could drop by anytime, whether for a coffee, a cocktail, or a bite to eat. And so, Artisan was born, right in the heart of Möllevångstorget.

Since opening, we’ve embraced a simple but ambitious goal: to create a relaxed, welcoming spot that feels like a second home for food lovers. Each of us brings something special to the table – Filip with his expertise in coffee from Lilla Kafferosteriet, Stefan crafting cocktails with precision from Care of Cocktail, and Daniel, a seasoned chef from Embassy, curating a diverse menu of small plates. Together, we’ve developed a flexible concept that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of a restaurant or café.

At Artisan, vermut is at the heart of what we do. With 15 varieties to choose from, it’s an experience to be savored, much like a fine coffee – start light and refreshing early in the day, and by the evening, explore the richer, spicier flavors. The vision was to create a place where curiosity is encouraged, where you can geek out on unique combinations of drinks, food, and coffee, and where every visit offers something new.

Our menu is a reflection of Malmö’s diversity, drawing inspiration from around the globe. With ten cold and ten hot dishes, we prioritize local ingredients at reasonable prices, allowing guests to enjoy a variety of flavors in one sitting. Daniel has created a menu that’s approachable yet sophisticated, offering a taste of Malmö’s vibrant food scene in every dish.
